Default strobe/LED flashers

Howdy!

I am somewhat interested in putting some emergency strobe/led flashers on my truck, kinda police-esque style only amber and white.

Would like the LED ones in the grille and possibly back window, and strobes in the reverse lights, headlights and fogs.

Anyone know of any kits or best place to find that kind of stuff?

Thanks

I'm on the Fire Dept in my town. It's all volunteer but I have a red light permit, which covers wig wags, red light strobes. I haven't gotten around to installing the ones I had on my old truck on my F150, but myself along with everyone on the Dept have ordered them through Galls.com. They have quality, professional products. Most police/fire dept's vehicle lights are ordered through them, along with other supplies. I would highly recommend them, and their customer service is great.

I use 2 Whelen Slimlighter Tir6 - Amber/Amber. One above mirror and one in back glass for snow removal. Also I use the LED hide-a-way in the Fog/Reverse lenses for 360 degree safety. The LED's are from STL, I love them. Didn't expect the quality that I got for the price! Very nice. They all run off of one switch installed under the radio, by the 12v cigarette plug, run em with a relay and it never fails!

strobesnmore.com..... the company brand are amazingly bright and very affordable....for a small body mount LED i would go with the WHELEN TIR which start at 59$ OR the LINZ series light which is 69 its a TIR but visible from all angles.....

recon sells some pretty good strobe kits. If you are putting them in the reverse lights make sure to get colored bulbs due to the fact dot says white to the rear is illegal. You will probably never be hassled with it but why not do it right the first time? As for LED lights just look around. 911ep makes some really nice ones that alot of emergency vehicles use and they are better priced than galls. Just don't go with the cheapest ones you can find. i did that once and they lasted all of about a month. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to LED lights.

If you are drilling into the rear lights, make sure you get weather stripping or silicone around the base of the installation.

I have seen allot of after market installations over the years. I could always tell a good quality job as the lens always stayed clear.

A half *****ed job always fills up with condensation and moisture.

I am the admin for napatexas.com we specialize in Whelen, Star, Speed Tech and a lot more. Let me know what you are looking for and I can find it for you, plus I will probably be able to beat any price you find on the same product. The Star hide-a-star are nice and have interchangeable color lenses or the Whelen Vertex lights. They are a little more expensive and don't have interchangeable lenses but they are a great product. We are actually a group of Napa Auto Parts stores that also deal a lot with local and state governments to supply emergency lights to them. The website is not a Napa Product site we are vendors for all different brands and just use the site to sell and describe the Lights and other equipment. If you have any questions you can email me at Randy@napatexas.com.
