Default Strange Engine Bog Issue (random and momentarily)

Here is the case. I drive a 150 mile trip once a week, mostly 60-65 mph highway. Well in the last 3 months it started randomly bogging down slightly with the cruise on. I can be going along and its like a strong gust of wind hits the truck from the front. It will make the engine bog then it like releases or frees up and the truck carries on. I also noted on my edge evo (not programmed just plugged in for the gauges) that it shows the engine load shoot from about 30% cruising to about 80% when it have its issue then on the sort of POP release the load goes back down to the normal range. The entire bog down only lasts about 3-5 seconds and I can power out of it by pressing the gas. It may happen 15 times on the trip may only happen once or twice...very random...HELP!
Things I have tried

Replaced plugs and COPS
Replaced FPDM
Cleaned MAF and TB
Replaced Air Filter
Changed Oil
Fuel Filter changed in November

I've been chasing this same problem as well...still have no cure. Hope we can figure something out soon...sick of it doesn't begin to describe my feelings about this.

I've changed everything you mentioned and then some to include the transmission. The ONLY way I was able to 95% correct it was with the canned tune on an Edge, which leads me to believe that it's in the programming somewhere...The TC is electronically controlled but every I have asked has no idea to check it or even try to begin to fix it...another dead end..i'm glad to hear though, that i'm not only one...

Have you tried using different brand of gas? Not sure that would help, but you never know.....

I have the same problem, I'm convinced its the tranny. I didn't have the issue when i first bought the truck but after replacing the tranny and having the cam phasers done along with the heads machined now i do. I've tried trouble shooting, throwing money at it and it just randomly sound as if I'm doing 25mph in 4th gear, but I'm doing 60. Ford tech told me its normal and don't be afraid to give it the gas until its over, i believe he's an idiot. The fact it didn't do it before and the size of the engine it shouldn't be laboring that hard cruising at 60.

helps if i read the whole thing, just looked again and saw you have already done that. i would still look at the pump to see how much fuel is being deliverd at the rail while driving.

Mine started directly after the cam phasers being replaced as well...and the Ford techs have told me the same thing.

Maybe I'm having the same issue, maybe not, but i notice when i first start my truck up in the morning, when its idling around 1200 rpm i get a random, and sporatic rattle from what sounds like under the driver's side firewall. I checked everything, nothing is loose, but after it warms up, if it's idling, or I come to a red light, I'll get a vibration throughout the whole truck, only now the vibrating sounds like its coming from the rear of the truck. Once again, nothing seems loose. At first I thought the rattle was the cam phasers, but they sound normal and its sporatic, and sounds like its coming from the rear. It only last a few seconds, then pop! It goes away and seems to idle smoothly.

It's really strange and I'm going nuts trying to figure out what it is because the truck seems to be running fine! Any ideas would really be appreciated!

Also, its a 2006 5.4L with 74K miles and an Edge Evo

Another way I could describe it would be like the truck taking a deep breath (the bog down), then exhaling (the release) all of a sudden
