I removed my exhaust after the cat. Left the mid pipe after the cat. Got a 45° 2.5 inch in and out bend from autozone $6 and bolted it on. Bent down and slightly toward the tire. I like how it sounds and so does everyone that hears it. It's not loud at all. These motors are actually very quiet. It's loud 2-4K after that it gets quiet.

I replaced my muffler on my truck with a straight pipe and thought it sounded pretty good. I also have a 05 with the 4 cats which might quiet it down some but I didn't think it was too loud. About the same loudness as it is now with a flowmaster 10 on it but I thought it actually sounded better straight piped.

You guys really think just ditching the muffler is loud I cut mine out along with everything behind it and just put a 3" turn down on it and aside from trucks with stock exhaust mines probly one of the quietest around here is not really loud at all imo I like the sound but it wouldn't hurt being a little louder

Basically how mine is. I'll have to go take a pic. It sounds really good I think. The girl likes it too. Which is a plus and only cost me $6

There's my entire exhaust. Took the full factory cat back off. Can put it back on it if I want. It sounds good. I might go have it done so it's got a tip coming out the side.

I had a Chevy with a mild built 350 that had mufflers and it was a lot louder than my f150.

I've got 2.5" pipe running from each cat to two 12" cherry bomb glass packs, no crossover, dual tips out the back. I started it up with no mufflers and it honestly didn't sound much louder than with the glass packs. It isn't near as loud as I expected at idle, drone in the cab, etc. I was pretty displeased until I blew past a friend one day and he told me how loud it really was. He used to drive a deleted and tuned 2500 duramax with a bed stack. Thing was loud and crazy fast. He had aftermarket turbos, aftermarket fuel system, and a race built transmission.

Video of my exhaust outside taken shortly after it was installed, cold start.

Video of my exhaust in the truck at WOT with an MPT 87-89 Performance Tune with Street Transmission shifting. This was a pretty bad takeoff though.

Exhaust outside in a garage months after it was installed, cold start

Yeah, neighbors dad has a 2007 duramax with 5 inch straight pipe to 8 inch tip. Some motor work, turbo work, tune and intake with custom tunes. It dyno at 800hp at the tires. Needs the trans built. It's nasty! It will roast the 37s that are on it.

I don't think he ever dyno'd it so idk actual numbers, but he posted videos of it roasting all 4 tires from a stop. I believe he was running 35's. Last I rode in it, the tires broke loose at 70, he caught it and took it up to 120. It's a sweet truck. His dad offered to give him his 2015 Denali high country for it though so he gladly traded.
