Stereo Install
Started my system install today. O gauge power wire to a cap underneath the center seat. Two 4 gauge wires to a JL slash and a rockord mono. 6.5 alpine R components up front and 6x9 alpine R's in back. Had to modify all 4 doors to get them to fit but will be well worth it. Tomorrow i should have all wiring run and the box for the sub built. Will post more pictures as things progress.
Final installation is tomorrow. Will post lots of pictures but I got a few messages asking about materials.
Wiring is all Knu Konceptz. 0 gauge Kollossus Flex for main power wire fused with a Knu Konceptz ANL fuse holder. Power wire goes to a 1.5 Farad Lightning Cap. Two fused Knu 4 gauge power wires feed power to the JL Audio Slash 300/4 and RF Bd1000.1. Remote turn on is wired to a relay from the fuse panel to turn on amps. All grounds are Knu 4 gauge and RCA's are Monster P9 series. You can't find these RCA's anymore as their pro line was discontinued years ago.
The speakers up front are Alpine Type R components 6.5 and Alpine Type R 6x9 in rears. Sub is an Alpine Type R 12 DVC wired to 2 ohms.
Enclosure is completely custom slot ported out of 3/4 mdf with bracing. Amp rack also custom. 4 coats of Duplicolor Bed armor with Kevlar matches the vinyl floor perfectly.
HU is a Kenwood Excelon X795. Dash kit is a modified Scosche.
All wires routed through trim to keep tidy and will come up on bottom of amp rack. Aluminum turn buckle is actually the mount for the sub. It allows excellent control over enclosure position and holds it perfectly in place too. Will be hidden by amp rack as well.

Interesting setup. Never seen a turnbuckle used to secure a sub. Looking forward to the completed install pics. Where'd you run the power wire through the firewall at?
I plan on putting a set of Rockford Fosgate 5.25 components in my doors, here's hoping I won't have to mod much to get them to fit.

Final installation completed today. Great sound staging and the bass is amazing! Will tweak over the next few weeks but I am very happy.
As far as the components mentioned they will fit but probably only 3 of 4 bolts will be used. I made brackets. You will have to cut out the speaker cup most likely but they will fit.
Power wire was run through firewall grommet. You'll see it after removing battery. Hard to describe any better.

It sounds amazing! A few tweaks here and there and it will be perfect. As far as security I've got 25% tint all around and I blacked out the RF letters so all you can see with the passenger seat reclined back is the tiny blue power light.
Thanks for the compliments! Took a month of weekends to get done but completely worth it.
Next mods are alternator and seat covers then I'm done. After all its my work truck!
