Default stalling at random stops

wondering if anybody has a few ideas that can help find the issue. I changed my plugs and coil packs due to ruff running and stalling randomly at stop lights. well the truck runs like new other than it still drops to a stall if I'm stopping at a light and or driving in a parking lot time to time.
picking your brain because I figure you all may be a help.

Have you checked the FPDM (fuel pump driver module) on the cross member behind the spare? Remove it and check the back for cracks and/or holes.

05 5.4... Posting here just to follow your thread in case something of substance comes up. I'm in the same boat, although the truck has ran clean. It just randomly dies, almost always when coming up to a stop. Never a code, always starts right back up. Sometimes it goes for a few months, then it will do it three times in a week. And it will almost always do it on the rare occasion my wife drives the truck. I hate not having an explanation for her. I wish it was as simple as take it to the shop and hand them, money to make it stop, I'd pay it. There is a youtube video by the Fordtech guy that almost describes the problem perfectly with being VCT solenoids, but he mentions codes, which I have not had any. One difference I have noted, is that sometime when it dies, it would have the "Low Oil Pressure" warning when it died, which would suggest that was the cause of the shut-off. But the last several times mine has done it, it just dies with no warning message. I hope you find something.

The oil pressure warning light comes on because the engine has died and the oil pressure is now zero.
Items to check:
1. Fuel pump driver module (FPDM) as mentioned above. It is aluminum case attaches directly to a steel frame member. It corrodes away to dust due to dissimilar metals and causes all kinds of issues. If it dies in high humidity or rain more often, this would be the place to start.
2. Phaser pins not locking due to low oil pressure from the VCT system. Tougher to diagnose, but if heavier oil (Xw30 or Xw40 weight) causes it to disappear, chances are this is the problem. Leaking chain tensioners, broken chain tensioner parts plugging the oil intake tube and general bearing wear can all cause this.
3. Vapor purge valve leaking causing vacuum in the fuel tank. Not super common but can cause the engine to die of fuel starvation without throwing a code.

I would start here.

You really should start your own thread. Now we will have two different conversations going here. You can subscribe to a thread to follow it but bringing your truck into (hijacking) it can cause confusion. Thanks.

Right after I start a new thread about which motor oil is the best. This is not a hijack.
