Stalling after Gotts Mod
OK guys, I'm working on my '07 Screw 4.6
I did the gotts mod earlier, left the battery unplugged for ten minutes and have been having random stalling when I come to a stop or let off the gas with the truck in drive.
After a search I read I likely had a dirty MAF, so I bought some crc maf cleaner, cleaned it, replaced the air filter, disconnected the battery again, and I'm still having the stalling issue.
I should also mention my cel is not on.
My idle will drop down below 500 rpms while in drive, and then usually stall.
I really hope someone has knowledge of what's happening here and how to fix it, I can't have my baby dying on me like this.

I had this problem too for a while; I believe it is because in disconnecting the battery you reset the ECU so everything has to be relearned. There is something like a priming process to get it back up to speed on the forums here somewhere and it goes something like letting it idle for 10 minutes after unplugging the negative terminal again then driving normally for a few miles.
Alternate solution for me was tuning it using my Edge programmer, but this isn't really necessary as the priming should do the trick.

I did let it idle for a good bit of time.
Another strange thing is my fuel gauge was reading lower than it should when I first started it, about 1/3 rd a tank, now it's just come back up to 3/4 where it should be.

The driving it around is what sets it back to where it is supposed to be, the idling just kind of sets a baseline from what I understand. No idea about the fuel gauge though. Hope you sort it out soon.
^^ +1 I just had this problem with my Mazda 3 when I changed batteries, apparently I was supposed to keep 12v to the car when doing this. The car would stall out when I slowed almost to a stop, drove it around for a while and the pc relearned whatever it needed to and its fine now.

OK guys, sounds like it will just take some time then.
I did take the suggestion and clean my tb however.
Can anyone tell me the purpose of the apparent restrictor/gasket thing between it and the manifold.
I've never seen a tb gasket like it before.

The idle is nice and stable around 700 and it doesn't stall anymore
Many thanks for the advice.
