Does anyone know if it's easy to change the light that lights up the shifter in a 2005 F-150? Also does anyone know the make/size/model of the bulb? is it possible to get different colors ? I attached a picture, Thanks

 

It's very easy and it's just a 194 bulb, I changed mine this past sat.

 

And how do you do it?

 

Yep , less than a 5 min job. Open your center console and pop of the plastic piece around the shifter. Takes a little effort so be carefull but just work it off slow. Then once its off the light bulb is down to the bottom left corner of the shifter itself. Takes small hands to get to it but not to bad

 

O an no you cant change color. Theres a green film under the numbers/letters so unless you rip that out I dont think its possible

 

Good stuff I would do it right now if it wasn't raining. Gonna look into color change too

 

LEDs always look better anyway. Wish I knew how to do the dash

 

The dash is a lot of work from what I have seen and read on here

 

I put an 194 tower LED in for the shifter cause my original was burnt out and LED was all I had laying around...I wouldn't advise it, it's too bright. I prefer a more subtle glow from there, I will be going back to a standard 194.
