well trans puked with 107k overdrive clutches went out so now trying to decide if i should put in shift kit pull 18FT car hauler with 5 quads on it about 5k lbs usally 2-3 times a month sometimes a car or skidsteer but not very often if so what ones have people used and good or bad luck thanks

 

Get a programmer instead.

With a programmer like an Edge Evolution you can adjust shift points, line pressure and more.

Since everything is electronic theres not really a point in getting a shift kit.

Everything you can do with a shift kit you can do with a programmer, but it's a lot easier to undo programming than a shift kit.

 

A good vale body will do something no tuner in the world can do.......supply a higher volume of fluid. I run the vb that troyer sells, I think there's only one. Very good investment

Troyer's valve body hands down! Like said above, it provides a higher volume of fluid.

I have the Edge Tuner right now and it's great, but when my Tranny pukes and I get a new one I will definitely be getting this valve body from troyer.

 

so contacted troyer they are out of them maybe month or so before get any does anybody else make a valve body? like factory tech brians truck shop or punisher valve bodysthey made them for other for trans cant find one for this trans in 04 5.4

 

You say the overdrive clutches went out. Regardles of how you repair it towing 101 never tow in overdrive lock it out when towing

 

i always due but dont know what previous owner did had had electric brake controler on it when i purchased it so i know they pulled trailer just want to do a little xtra since i am already in their
