im installing a back up camera on my truck into the pioneer x-920bt head unit, my question is doe any one know what wire is the reverse sensor wire near the shifter (center console) ?

Can't help with the wire.
I found that I like mine alot better simply hooked to a switch. Turn it on and off whenever you want to. Having it come on every time I put the truck in reverse got annoying real quick.

 

Thanx man, i cant beleive i didnt think of that!! I just run a 12v my switch then the reverse wire of my radio? Its not a ground run system or anything like that?

 

Reverse sensor wire is next to the cigar lighter.

 

I just tapped into the wire that feeds the backup light in the drivers side tail. Shortest route and did not have to go under the truck. Works without issue.

OK, back up or reverce wire is located in the driver side kick panal gray plug black wire with pink stripe. There is a bolt in the center of the plug you have to undo first, pull the plug and the wire is on the back side. This plug controls all the wires going to the back of the truck and you have to tighten the bolt back to test the wire you cant push it back in tight enough with your hand. Thanks
