Default Retrofit Issues!! Help

Okay so I started my retrofit today. Finally got apart these oem headlights with this permaseal stuff. But, as I was getting the second headlight apart, the permaseal finally let loose unexpectedly and i dropped the headlight. Right under the amber for the blinker a piece broke off? Should I attempt to glue this back together? is there such a thing as chrome touch up paint? Ill post some pictures. Let me know what you think!

You could glue it, and maybe splint the back side with a Popsicle stick or something similar... It will definitely be an issue for you to handle the the lights for a retrofit from this point on however...

I would personally try and source a new light and use that one for experimental and testing purposes only if it was mine...

I've got a set of Harley style Ebay's in good shape I could probably sell you if decide it is not repairable... Send me a pm if your interested...

Not sure. You could do a google search and find out quickly. I guess you were planning on leaving them chrome?

Just order a set of aftermarket heads off ebay and use them. Thats what I did and the guy who did my retrofit said the aftermarket bowls were better made than my stockers.

Yeah not sure what im going to do. I got it back together and its been curing for the past 3 hours. need something to touch up where the chrome chipped off though. Guess they have chrome fingernail polish, idk how well that would hold up though.

You could always buy a aftermarket set like kitchenboy suggested and still continue to mock up the oem reflector bowl. Then when the aftermarket ones come in take that housing, new lens and attach it to the oem halve.
