Default Removing Tint

I have a free gift Cert to a local tint shop and I want to do my front 2 windows to make them dark and match the rest. Anyone have any tricks on removing the tint form the side front windows?

Once you get the edge of the tint up it should pull off in a piece. the only issue will be the glue residue that is left behind. I have removed tint before and have had to go after the glue with a razor blade. It would not come off not matter what I sprayed on it. If any one has a fast way to remove residue please chime in.

I dont think you should have a problem scratching the glass like he said... unless your scraper is made outta diamonds, which i highly doubt because thats just plain out expensive

I like using a clothing steamer. I picked one up at walmart for $30 the other day.

Have a window cleaner with ammonia handy and start with the steamer at an edge. When the heat and steam make the edge give out start soaking with ammonia cleaner. Steam, spray, and pull. The film will be off in no time with little residue behind.

This trick works great on film covering defroster lines.

Oh yeah, get the whole piece of film nice and warm with the steam before you put effort into it. Getting the glue hot is half the battle.
