Cop made me strip my windows on site or he was going to tow my truck. The next day I used acetone to soak the glue. Then I used the finest steel wool I could get. Worked like a charm. Still takes elbow grease but my windows looked new when I was done.

why not just put another layer of tint over them, you said you wanted them darker.

yep.. Razor works the best for cleaning any kind of crap off class.. Use windex or any kind of cleaner and it will act as a lubricant and keep the blade sharper to so you wont have to change it was often

Windex will remove tint. The few times I've done it I strip the tint with Windex and then clean the remaining residue off with acetone. Take your time, tint can be a Bit** to get off sometimes. Also like stated before, make sure the tint is warm, it makes a world of difference.

If this sounds like too much for you to handle, why not see how much the tint shop will remove it for? I know you have a gift certificate, but I'm sure they'd only charge about $25 to remove it. I mean even at $25 when they strip and re-tint the truck your still getting a bargain!

A friend of mine got fined over $320 for 4 windows on his Toyota in NY, an $80 fine for each windows on his 4 door auto

A lot of bucks, considering that since he didn't take them off, he could be fined again

Unreal
