Default Removing clamp on leaf spring

I am getting a loud noise anytime anytime the truck rocks side to side, even when just turning, so I am replacing the inserts between the springs to hopefully stop the noise. However I don't see a way to remove the c clamps on the springs to separate them completely. There is a bolt but there is no way to remove it that I see.

What insert ?? Spray some WD-40 on them...they will quit squeeking. Spring packs are not made to come apart...thats why you "add a leaf" or have new spring packs made.

Ive done all that. Silicon spray, WD-40, and SeaFoam lubricant. All only work for a day then the noise comes back so I'm replacing the inserts becasue one could be broken and hopefully it will stop the noise.

How about grinding the head off the pin and replace with a high grade bolt

I thought of that but the pin doesn't go all the way through the spring pack just looks like it attatches the clamp to the one leaf

Found this thread here on this site; tells you how to separate the leaf springs.

I actually just read the thread as you were posting. I need to separate the leaf that goes all the way across the wheel well and bolts to the frame from the one right below it to replace the plastic inserts on the ends but the c clamp hook on it looks like it won't let me separate far enough to replace them
