I'd say 4.56 , or 4.88. Depends on alot of things and could be argued anyway. If it were me I'd do 4.56

With todays cost of gas going up with no limit set I would say 4.11 area or 3.73 if you don't haul a lot of heavy stuff, just a daily driver with weekend fun. You've got an o7 don't worry so much. It's so high up in the air you aren't gonna drive it around so fast anyway. Now if you were going to put some really big mud grapplers on there than I would raise the anty somemore.

I have 3.73's with 33's and that's the Max size I'd run with my gearing, rode In a truck with 3.73's and 35's and it was a pig, but its all preference I guess

I'm getting a truck soon (04) with a 5.4 and an auto transmission.. I'm going to put on 35x12.5 tires on it and a 6" rough country kit... The heaviest thing I'll be pulling are ATVs and Snowmobiles but mostly a DD and a weekend toy..... What kind of gears do I need? (Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread)

4.11 or 4.56.... If you got 3.73 already, and you want 35s, then I'd suggest 4.56. It's an expensive job if you don't do it yourself, so make sure it counts. With 4.56 you leave room for even bigger tires in the future, and it should get you some good noticeable power back to those wheels..

4.56 is the perfect ratio for 35" tires. Regearing is very expensive and switching to 4.10 isn't enough change to justify the cost. 4.56 is what you want.

I was quoted $750 out the door with installation for 4:56's at my local 4wheelparts
