that is one good thing about the 4.6. as poorly as their performance is they will last a long time. mine has 264k and counting

Mine is 264k to, 266k was a typo. I guess I'll find someone to run a compression test and all and see what's actually causing the terrible smell. Not gonna rebuild if I dont have to i guess if i cant really build power for a decent price

Better option would be to correct the fuel mix so that it is running correctly (including most likely simply tightening/replacing the plugs). O2 sensors, MAF cleaning... Low compression would go hand in hand with burning oil.
