Rear Locker
it depends on skill level and your tools it's really pretty simple the specialty tools you'll need are a dial indicating in-lbs torque wrench a click- type torque wrench up to 100 ft-lbs and shim punch, if you are going to do it i would suggest a new crush washer for the pinion pre-load, and you can make a tool to hold the pinion flange out of flat or angle iron just drill some holes to put the drive-shaft bolts through to hold it while you loosen or tighten the pinion flange nut

I've had great sucess with powertrax. They're made by richmond gear and their automatic lockers engage and disengage very well as long as you take care when you drive. Make sure you're comfortable with checking and adjusting gear mesh and have fun.
Maybe things have changed, but when I was looking for lockers, they didn't make lockers for the 9.75 rearend. All that were made were Limited Slips. Hence the question on what size engine do you have, size engine, etc. etc.?.....
