So I had a misfire on cylinder 1 and 3, pulled plugs, injectors, and COP and the one COP on number 3 is rainbow colored, first time I've seen this myself and I'm wondering if it's still good to use? Tested fine with a multimeter

Thats just the magnet on the inside of the spring.

 

I was just curious, none of the other COP's I've ever pulled had this rainbow. Time to replace them anyway.

 

Turns colors from the constant heat cycles.

 

exactly what I was thinking, I'm happy to know I'm not the only one was thinking it. I assumed with the magnet being pretty deep in the head it could get pretty hot.

 

Is that a special option ? Sounds like a good Idea . Or is it on newer editions ?
