Default radio static

I've had this problem for awhile now and its starting to get on my nerves. The problem is every time I turn on my 8000k hids there is static when I am listening to the radio. Anybody else have this problem? Or anyone of ne suggestions?

well most cheap ones have poor shielding, that is usually the main reason, sometimes you can get less static by moving the ballasts around, but not always. it sucks, i know.

What brand do you have? I ordered mine off of Ebay over a year ago; paid $89.00 for them. They are 8K low beams only (the high beams are non HID). They came from a company out of California.

As Steely Dan's song puts it, I have no static at all on my radio.

a set of inline filters should solve your problem. you can get a set at retro-solutions for around 30-35 bucks, but before you buy them try to relocate the ballasts and see if that helps. the way to do it is unplug one at a time and turn on the radio and if there is no static you know which ballast is causing the interferance. But i would highly recomend a set of inline filters to eliminate the problem all together.

X2. I highly reccomend them. I have heads and fogs from them and have no static at all. They work wonderfull. And the customer service is awsome as well.
