its not illegal in Maryland. Unless they drop too low and hit the ground clearance limit. And I can't imagine that's even close to a problem with you.

Buy the Dynatech headers, there $$$$. But from what I've heard, there the best. Plus they come with the cats or no cats, you can order ether system. And they are legel in TX,But you will have to have a custom tune for them, since your cats will be farther back. They will have to compinsate them being farther back in your tune. Thats what Mike Troyer said

long tube headers? i thought headers were a nightmare to put in. AKA lifting the motor or some crazy job like that

EDIT: and i just researched them and on their website the SuperMAXX headers only give u like 14hp and 9 torque. do they do anything else for ur truck? or r u getting it for the sound? dont think im telling u not to get headers, im just curious about them and want to learn!

They say for LT headers on a supercharged truck they will increase around 30hp. From what I've read you should gain 1 mph, around 30hp, and 30-35tq. But the tq come in sooner, and you know the sooner your tq come's in, the faster you get going. Cause tq gets you going, and after a certian rpm your hp takes over.

I don't see why everybody is worried about hp? Me, myself and I wanna know what kind of tq its going to give me. Its like a desiel, 450hp and 1000tq. And they'll smoke your a**. Now granted if you had a 550hp and 550tq you would smoke his a** in a mile run but not a quarter mile.

Its 'illegal' to modify the federally regulated smog parts on a vehicle. Now, all that really means in your case is that u might need to find a shop that is less cautious or do it yourself. The reason the shop doesnt want to do it is because the risk on their part outweighs any profit they make from the job. If caught, the shop could be fined thousands of dollars and possible loss of their business license. That doesnt mean that one of the employees wouldnt do it 'on the side'.

You'll need extentions for the o2 sensors.

The dynas are by far the best from what i've heard, you can buy them as a complete kit but be ready to shell out some major cash

Well TX must have some kind of F'ed up law or something? Cause I know in Oklahoma, its legal. AS long as you get LT headers, with CATS, a full exhaust with pipes and get it tuned for that since the OP does have a supercharger. And to the OP'er, I think TX has some kind of inspection, if they do just have your tuner write your a smog legal code. Since you do have everything on your truck to be legal. Like CATS
