WTF? Ive torn apart probably 50 motors and have never seen a valve bend like that. Did the keeper fail and valve fall into the cylinder?

Not trying to be a troll I was honestly asking. I've only torn into 3 motors that were blown. I didn't even know you could bend a valve like that! Please do post pics of the rest of the motor!

Trust this was my first and didn't know it could bend like that I'm very fortunate that I dnt have to buy a new motor all I'm having to buy is piston one ring set head and gaskets the parts run bout 850 so that's not to bad other than that the motor looks great so it should b like brand new when dne will post pics of process

Here's my theory: Valve guide went bad, broke the valve keeper and the valve fell into the combustion chamber and got bent like a pretzel when the piston came back up. You should be glad it didn't crack the head and tear up the cylinder wall. Im guessing the aluminum piston has a nice hole in it, Id love to see more pictures.

Yeah your lucky that the damage wasn't worse. If I had seen that in person I would have immediately thought the cylinder is shot and be looking for a brand new motor.
