Quick question. Having a programmer will not mess up my trans or anything will it?

if you tune it to aggressive im sure it could do some damage, and also programming it and then always driving it like a race car then im sure that would not be good either.

 

Just having a programmer will not do anything... Now if you actually plug it in and use it, that could be a different story...

Just like everything else in life it matters what you do with it... Just because you have that gun between your legs and a girlfriend, doesn't mean she is going to get pregnant, now if you go screwing around, things can happen... Same thing with a programmer and your trans...

BTW, I put an Evo in mine and it shifts a hell of a lot better...

NO, if you are looking at leaving your truck stock then an edge evo is the way to go but if you are going to mod it out then get a gryphon which is a reflashed edge. The gryphon can be purchased from power hungry. JMO but it seems to be accepted widely around here.

SCT tuners have a plethora of adjustable parameters. Far more than any other tuner I've ever used. If you think you may ever put your truck on a dyno and have it professionally tuned, get an SCT.
