I was thinking of a 3" level with the bilstien 5100s everyone seems talk about. Thinking this may give a little over 3 in the front and adding a block or aal I'm the rear to even it up. I am new to lifting too and want to do a little more than just a level with my 2WD , without going the route of a 6" lift. Anyone know if something like this would work?

Your only limits are the suspension geometry...I used a 3in level in the front and got about 3.5, but my UCA is being pulled so far down that the balljoint boot is rubbing on the coilover spring...tue bilsteins may have a smaller diameter and not rub as easy. I wish they made the lifted spindles for our trucks. That would let us combine a level kit and the spindles for 4-5in of lift without the geometry issues. I can take a pic of my front susp in a few to show what I mean

For more than a level, you can add a small body lift, but then you have the frame gaps to deal with.

Yeah I know, I am trying to find a way around doing a 3" BL as it looks like a huge PITA.
