Default Poor Remote Unlock Range

I've had my '04 SuperCrew Lariat for almost a month now and it has poor (at best) range when locking and unlocking with the key fob remote. I've replaced the battery and tried other remotes, but it still sucks. I have to be 10 feet or so at the furthest for it to work. I can be 75-100 feet from my Freestar and unlock it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Shawn

Same here. Replaced the battery, nothing changes. Looks like it was made this way.

I think it's in the module, I don't see it in the electrical diagrams.

The original FOB for my truck did the same thing. Had to purchase a new one, as I only had 1. The new one works from a pretty good distance compared to the old one.

going to sound weird, but, it works... open your mouth, hold the fob up below your chin like vertically. then click lock/unlock the range is farther... somehow haha

I've always done this, but it only gets me to about 12 feet.
