Pirelli Tire Problem!?
Has anyone had a problem with the 20 inch pirelli tires? every morning no matter if my truck is in the garage or not it seems overnight they developed flat spots and rides similar to if i had square tires on my truck until they warm up, once warm it quits....I took it to my local ford dealership and the servie mgr stats its normal...Well my last truck was a GMC and i never had that issue with my tires, is it just these pirellis? Pls Help
I'm thinking it's your tires. I had a similar problem with my wife's Honda. we replaced the factory Michelin's for Goodyears. They would beat you to death until they warmed up! We ended up exchanging those tires for Michelin's.
What you're describing sounds like the exact thing that was happening to my wife's car. The difference is the back end of a pickup magnifies the problem!

Ford has put 3 set's of Pirelli's on my truck under warranty. The first set for flat spots/Balancing issues, the second because the sidewalls had cracks around the wheel. The third set i have 15000 miles on and they seem fine. If your truck is under warranty I'd vist the dealer I bought the truck from.
Just re-read you post and see you have visited the dealer. Try leavimg it overnight at the dealership and drive it with the service manager next day.

Nothing is wrong with your tires unless they physically have a flat spot. Pirelli is a soft compound giving your truck excellent traction on dry road surfaces. My 07 Mustang GT does the exact same thing when the tires are cold. After about 5 miles they smooth out!
I've got the 20" Scorpion ATR's. My truck sits for extended periods of time - up to 2 weeks in the winter. Inside but not heated. I noticed that if the tires are at 32psi they bump for awhile - maybe 1 km - not 2.
If I keep the tires at 40psi then they have never bumped - even a little bit...

Thanks for all the comments, i just added a 2.5 " leveling kit to my truck last night and pumped the tires to 40psi to hopefully give it a quick and easy fix....I have been to the dealership 6 times complaining about the problem, ridden in the truck with the service mgr and all, no help they are stern on not giving me 4 new tires, they advised me if the road force test came back okay they could not do anything under warranty. They gave me one new tire at 2000 miles, but now at 10,000 im still having the issue and no help from ford....the service mgr assures me its normal and its just the tire, i dont know what to think, im about to say the hell with it and go buy new rims and tires, this is my first and last ford, i love the truck but the service technicians and managers suck NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER!~!!!!
