Seriously?! I ordered mine around Christmas and have had no issues with Corey and the crew at PHP. Get on their forum as said before...

 

Man I really wanted to get one of these. Now Im second guessing myself. Id rather not have a tune than pay over 400 and not get it for 2 months....

 

It comes with canned tunes for you to play with while you wait for the custom ones. I waited over 4 months and was glad I did. Troyer's turn around time is over a year, so it can always be worse.

You have the Gryphon, it's night and day over the EDGE EVO. Period. When the custom tunes come it will be even a better difference.

BILL does ALL the custom tuning. He does all the custom tunes for the F150s, and diesels.... they probably get a good 20-50 orders a week atleast. And they just started doing 97-03 F150s again and they had around 50-75 people in line for that because they wanted the Gryphon over the EDGE.

Bill does all the custom tuning, it's 1 guy and he is doing the best he can for everyone. You all expect him to punch in numbers and be done. He goes by everything you tell him. City, highway, weather conditions, tow or not tow, gears, lift no lift, altitude.. ect ect ect.. give him a break. He's CUSTOM TUNING IT TO YOUR VEHICAL ONLY. It's 1 person doing the custom tunes. 1 person doing the phones, I heard 2 now... But they can't give you straight answers as they arn't doing the tunes!!!! Plus they have people coming down in person for dyno tunes for the diesels and such. Give them a break. Ya it sucks it's taken so long, stop crying about it. You have the Gryphon, you should be happy right now.

They are probably 2x as busy as they were when I ordered my Gryphon with 3 custom tunes.. I forget how long it took mine.. 2.5 months? But I was fine with the Gryphon canned. And with Corey's health problems and such you should chill out and be patient.

And get on the forum and you will see updates. Check the main website it usually has news alerts.. sometimes they have to stop doing custom tunes and get all the orders placed and shipped and all that also.

If not return it and get a POS tuner.

 

How do they send custom tunes to you? I've heard great things and don't mind waiting

 

Over the internet. You download their server off their forum and when tunes are ready. You hook up the Gryphon to your computer and download the tunes off the server. Pretty simple.

 

Is there a way to get the black case as well if I do this?

 

Like I said im not trying to bash them and I respect what they do and their reputation...but if its only Bill is the only one with the answers then they should say "Bill is the only one that can tell you how long it will be". Im just saying customer service is the most important part of any business, and that's what I don't like about PHP. Maybe it is time for them to hire more people to help around the shop with answering phones and taking orders. It might cost them more upfront to pay people but there is nothing wrong with expanding your business. It would probably make things less stressful for Corey anyway, being that she has been having health problems.
I have no problem with waiting, but a little update every once in a while would be nice.
I also don't think its right for you to jump down our throats and say stop crying about it and go buy a POS tuner. A simple "be patient, its worth it" would suffice.

Black case? Are you talking about the programmer being ALL black? If so, that's only if it's the Gryphon. If you buy the Gryphon from them, it will be black.
