Default performance upgrades

I have a 06 f150 with 4.6. Im looking to upgrades with cai, exhaust, and a programmer. I was looking into magnaflow single exit exhaust but found out they dont make a model for my truck. By the way it is the stx ext cab with 5.5 ft bed. What do you guys suggest for upgrades?

Borla makes a nice one if I remember correctly. The Magnaflow units are excellent. Heck Roush uses them, puts there name on them and they sell for 50-100 more. I love mine exiting before the rear tire. And for what its worth i have a superchips cortex programmer I need to sell. I loved it but can't use it with the blower.

i have magnaflow SI/SO exhaust kit, # 16612. and, IIRC it will work for your truck. they come with 2 different midpipes, to acomodate for the shorter cabs. i also have the 5.5' bed, so it should work for you.

but, i would rather have a system a little louder. it is quiter than i had hoped for.

The street systems are a little quite if you're wanting noise. Personally I love the deep rumble. Its not over powering like some. But it sure gets raspy when you stomp on it.

You can usually find the system you want on Magnaflows website then search the model number on ebaymotors and find a really good deal.

For OP.

Tuner/programmer, take a look at Gryphon. Powerhungryperformance.

I posted this vid before but if you have a good sound system on your computer and a small sub you'll really be able to hear the deep rumble on these pipes. First 10 seconds then skip to 40secs. The last vid is ok to. You hear a little exhaust action.
