I have heard mixed reviews... That's why I bought mine and returned them, but that being said, I have a 4.6, so my plugs are different and I assume the coils and cool boots are also different... I did NGK iridium could and plug boots, keeping my stock could, truck has never run better... My .02, keep the stock coils and at least make sure the plugs are in tight, if you don't wanna replace them bc I know how tough the 5.4 plugs can be, and just change the boots and springs

Really no need to "upgrade" stock ignition components....

I have them in my truck and they work great. Used Motorcraft plugs. I think MSD makes COP now I would have went with them but at the time they didn't but I haven't had any issues with the Accels.

The Motorcrafts will outlast the aftermarket coils. However there is nothing wrong with using the aftermarket models mentioned above. There is no performance increase bybusing these. The stock coils fire enough voltage to support triple the hp stock motor makes and triple the cylinder pressures.
