Default Performance Front Stopers

First, apologies if this has been addressed in another post or forum - did a search and none of the threads that the search found were about this...

Have a 2008 4x4 Scab which is stock 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS. 40,000 miles on the truck.

This truck doesn't stop worth a crap. The ABS does work. All rotors are smooth.

Can any one tell me if Ford/SVT made an extreme duty brake upgrade for this truck? Maybe a Raptor up grade kit???

Anyone have any experience with aftermarket kits?

I know that new high performance pads (Hawk)will help, drilled or sloted rotors, converting front calipers to multi-piston and braided brake lines. But it would be nice to hear from someone who has already done this.

PLEASE HELP!!

is your pedal just soft and not providing enough power or does it stop like a F150 and you want it to stop like a Mustang?

pads will wear faster on a heavy vehicle like our trucks. You don't need to upgrade the whole brake system, just get some Hawk pads and you'll notice a big difference. Now, if something doesn't feel right and the brakes are soft and squishy, you probably have a problem. Master, fluid, or calipers

I want it to stop like I want!!! Not like a standard F150. Do you have a preformance ft brake set-up?

I upgraded my pads this summer. I have a friend that has upgraded pads and drilled and slotted rotor and i just have upgraded pads and there is zero difference in stopping. we wanted to see the difference (Screw for me and Scab for him) and we came to a stop at the same place give or take a foot or two him beating me from 60mpg

Then you can spend $2 grand on these

Or under $100 for some Hawk pads so stop great.

those are the pads I was talking about. Drilled/slotted rotors are more cosmetic unless on a supercar. I wouldn't cheap out on rotors either...the cheap china crap rusts out quickly.
