Does anybody know the function of this sensor...is there a sensor?
Hi Folks
I'm a 'Newbee' here since my F150 is my first truck ever...bought it because FORD is well known all over the world as a very reliable car...and it is in my case! It even gives U - I live in Germany (~ 7 Dollars per Gallon!) - an aceptable MPG.
Ok... may be here is a specialist who can give me any info about this constellation at my internal mirror (pls. look at the pic)...
There is a wiring so it must have a function...or am I wrong?
Thanks for your comments!

Yeah... i always wondered why the truck knew the direction I was movin'...had it in the 'mouse cinema'...thougt abt havin' a 'auto light' which would have been nice ...does my truck have an autolight option?
I think that is the Flux Capacitor. It generally acts up around 88mph.
Really, I have the compass on my cluster but no box behind the mirror? The little orb on the dash on the middle-left side of the cluster's dog house is the Light/Dark sensor for the auto-lamp I think. I used to put my hat there in the winter when it was just light enough it wouldn't turn on, but dark enough that I would want them on. With the hat there they were on all the time.

The temp sensor is outside of the vehicle, under the hood in front of the radiator. Compass ....
I had intermittent wipers on a car that sensor was mounted to the windshield.
It is not a light sensor for self dimming headlights. That is mounted on the dash.
