Performance
Looking for a little more performance
2004 4x4 5.4L FX4
Thinking about:
Long Tube Headers - Dynatech with High Flow Cats.
Cold Air Intake - K&N, S&B or AirRaid Systems
Hand held tuner - Have used SCT before on other cars. What is recommended on F-150's
Will this work result in any noticeable performance increase or am I wasting My time until I boost it

I'm not sure either as I haven't tried any of them yet, but if you try the cold air intake, let me know how it works. Id like the looks of it, and if it actually does anything performance wise, I'll probably try it too.

If you are serious about adding boost steer clear of the CAI. You will just end up trying to sell it. Long tube Dynatechs are awesome. I love mine. And again if you plan to boost go ahead and get the headers along with true dual 2.5" exhaust. Also get an SCT X3, the Livewire, or the new X4 when it comes out. Either one will have canned tunes you can run until you boost it. And then any of these can be used to load custom tunes for your boosted truck. I wouldn't waste money on a custom tune until you supercharge it.
Don't get me wrong, custom tunes are great on basically stock trucks. But if you are going to boost it there's no point in spending money on tunes for your stock application.
Unless you have a coil going bad don't bother with the stock ones. They offer enough power to support 1000hp. The aftermarket coils usually offer 10% less power then the Motorcrafts.
Also I know you didn't mention it but don't waste any money on under drive pulleys if you plan to boost.
Regearing as Bigdawg mentioned is a worthwhile mod whether you boost or not. Really wakes the truck up.

How do I know what My truck has in now for gearing? Or should I say suppose to have in it. 2004 4x4 5.4 FX4. I have 33" tires so would the 4.10's be a good choice for everyday use? I want some get up and go! Also they list 8.8 and 9.5 sizes? How do you measure or which size is correct for the 04 4x4? Any preference on brands ... Motive, Richmond? Thanks
