Default password on door

I have a 2006 5.4 L Lariat and I never got the password for the door. Ya I know that was stupid, but is there a cheaper way then spending $45 at the dealer to reset it?

I have read a couple threads saying its behind your back seats. Not exactly sure where tho. If I come across the thread I'll be sure to post it.

I understand that it is behind the rear seat on the driver's side. It is said that there is a label on the rear of the truck below the rear window.

It is behind the rear seat, there is a thread stickied on the 2004-2008 on here with a video that tells you how to remove the back seat to retrieve it and all the tools youll need. Worked perfectly for me, taking it off with a normal screwdriver is a pita but you can do it. Goodluck.

Read the sticky about this at the top of this section. The back seat is quite a b*tch to remove the first time, then once u figure it out its not bad. I put an amp behind there.

On another thread, a guy went to his local dealer with his VIN and insurance card (to prove he wasn't stealing someone else's truck) and they just looked up the door code on the computer. If your dealer is telling you they have to reset it, they're being douche bags.

On another note, did you look for the little card that they put with the owner's manual that has it? When I bought my truck, I couldn't find it in that little black pouch. Turned out the previous owner had used it as a bookmark in the maintenance schedule.

If its a SuperCrew, then it's on the security box located behind the rear seat on the drivers side. Not sure if it's a ExtCab or single. The back seat is a bitch to take off but it is removable. Good luck
