Default Overdrive question

Yesterday as I was putting my Boat In the lake I went a little to far in and had water up to the door. Now my transmission wants to go into overdrive Then after driving for a few miles it flips to 3rd. It does not neutral out. IF I turn the key off and restart engine it runs fine shifting through all gears then drops out of overdrive a get a od off flashing light intermittently then it goes off. Fluid looks good as does Oil it wasnt in the water that deep but a second.. Do you think I may have gotten water in that electrical shift box on the tranny and screwed it up?

If that's true, then you could start the truck in drive or reverse.

Check the electrical connections on the trans itself. Also, I'd make sure that the diff isnt full of water...

Replace the diff fluid. If water was up to your door, the rear diff was under water.
