Can't go wrong with a Motorcraft FL820-S. Wallymart has 'em cheap.

Or - WIX, or Purolator Gold.

FL820-S (Motorcraft) is the only way to go, IMO. There's a thread (or article?) on bobistheoil guy that explains why they're so good. And yes, they're dirt cheap.

Amsoil all the way, a little more money but worth it IMO.

The MC OEM filter works just fine. No need to go crazy with it.

I always used the Motorcraft OEM filter ... I never tried any aftermarket ones on my F150, I just don't trust the anti-flowback valve on many (for cold starts). I realize it's only a few seconds at startup if the oil does seep back down but I don't like the idea of ticking for those seconds and the possible damage it could create (although it's debatable how bad it really is). For the few bucks extra though and how often I had to change it, I just went OEM. Especially as I had a 2005 and the Cam phaser issue.
