Where do you live?
Why do you want to change?
What benefits do you expect?
What brand oil you thinking of using?

I'm live in Ontario Canada. I'm thinking about changing, because the 5W20 seems to be a rare oil around here... I haven't seen it around in very many places in a full synthetic.
It's an 04' - 5.4l Triton.

0w20 or 5w20 is ideal. Any w30 is getting out of spec.

I use 5w-30 but I live in Florida. I'm not sure you want to deviate being in that cold a region.

Default oil weight

I'm not sure if it's true but I heard that anything else but 5W20 won't flow right in these Fords. I feel it's too light living in this Florida heat but I stick to it. Up north I wouldn't consider going heavier. Valvoline has done me well for 30 years so that's what I stay with.

Just changed my oil. Royal Purple 5-20. I have noticed a difference in Gas mileage and power already.
