Default Off Road Lighting

Looking to light up my 06 F150. Not wanting anything too crazy as I like the stock look but just looking to add a few lights to help out. I never noticed the lack of lighting until I was driving around after the recent hurricane and without street lights my lights suck. Was looking at putting 2 20" light bars behind the grille. Was thinking about putting 2 spot lights up under the windshield like the jeeps do to help with side lighting. Just wanted to see what ideas y'all have come up with maybe a few pics if y'all have them.

If you get powerful lights under the windshield that's really all you'll need. I have KC Flex duals under my windshield in a combo spot and flood. Output is amazing and theyre small.

Do you have a link to what you used to mount them? I really like the way this looks.

Also, which model of the KC Flex did you use?

Thanks.

These are the brackets.

I used KC Flex duals. I got one set of spots and one set of floods. Took them apart and set it up so that the outer lights were flood and the inner lights are spot. Was very simple, 4 bolts and the lenses separate from the base

Used a sharpie to discretely mark each lens as spot or flood just to be safe

Amazon has these lights for much less than the KC website!

Are they wired, or can they be wired to turn on the spot and flood independently? In Wisconsin, we can have up to 4 lights on our vehicles of no more than 300 candlepower (3,771 lumens) each. So, having two on at a time with my high/low beams, would meet those requirements just fine. They could replace my OEM driving lights.

I know they sell them as single lights as well. The description is tough to understand but I think these are a spot not a flood. Pair of single lights. https://www.amazon.com/KC-HiLiTES-26...flex+led+light

Correct, they come in single as well. I'm not sure if it's possible to power them only spots or only floods because of how they are bridged together, im sure there's a way to do it but I doubt it would be easy, I can look into it for you. Just got a bunch of them for my ems squad rigs. Honestly, I've never heard of a cop pulling someone over for there lights aslong as they are being considerate to other drivers with them. IE: low beam only if someone is near

I put a SmittyBilt bar on the front of the truck and added a couple lights to it.

Smittybilt bar

32" curved spot/flood and 2x 9" spot/flood combo lights

Lit up in the garage

Low profile was a must.

Turning night into day.
