New guy needs help
I know its been beat to death. I have read pages and pages and still confused
I have a 2008 FX4 CC F150. I am going to put new wheels and tires on it. I came out of a F250 with a 12" on 38's and am looking at putting bigger tires on the 150.
From what I read 35's will fit with a 3" ready lift in the front and blocks in the rear. Yet I see that most 150's with 35's have a 6" suspension lift? This leads me to believe that if I try and run a 35x12.5x20 i am going to run into rubbing problems when I turn.... Am i wrong??
I don want some width to my tires and don't want the 35's to look like pizza cutters on the rim... Should I stick with a 33x12.5 on say a 9.75" wheel? I know off set and back spacing plays a roll in this as well.
I want the wheels and tires to be flush with the outside of the fender or maybe stick out about 1/2 inch. No more.. I don't care for the roller skate look.. Please help.
Also if anyone is looking to strike up a deal or trade a lift for stock parts please feel free to post.
Thanks guys.

On a leveled truck(2" kit and larger) you can run 35X12.5" tires on a 4WD and 33X12.5" tires on a 2WD truck, using the stock wheels.
Using aftermarket wheels you can run 35s on a 4WD if the wheels follow these guidelines:
-For an 8" wide wheel the backspacing is 5.5 inches.
-For and 8.5" wide wheel the backspacing needed is 5-6 inches.
-For an 9" wide wheel the backspacing is 4.5-5.5 inches
Factory wheels and 35's are going to look like turd cutters. The wheel is too narrow. And my thinking is 35's on a 9.75 or 10" wheels is going to rub. Even with a 3" level kit...
