Default New guy needs advice

Hey guys, I'm new to the F150 stuff. I would like to put on a 3" level kit and some new wheels and tires. My truck is 2wd and completely stock. It is the dark shadow grey color (the best color btw!!) and is a supercrew. What are some different options for wheels for me? Also, what are the typical tires that one would get with the 3" level kit on 2wd. I want tires that have a semi-rugged look. I do not want to spend a whole lot on this. I've looked through what seems like a million pictures on the gallery area but everything I see is either lifted, a different color truck, or not a supercrew. I can't seem to get a good idea what they would look like on my truck.

Sorry if I seem like a newb, I usually mod my cars and leave my truck to daily driving activities. Now I want to give the truck some love since it just got back home from pulling my new viper from Tennessee!! I gave it the full clay bar, wax, interior job today.

Thanks in advance!!!

-Kyle

I'll put some pics up for fun!!

Geez, as I look through my pics, I noticed I haven't taken any of just my truck. The only ones I have are of me pulling my car. Anyways, here they are.

I love muddin n my truck but like you Ididnt want to spend too much money on tires caue I have an 03 Cobra I like spending money on more lol. But maxxis makes a mud tire thats not too agressive looking and pretty cheap. I've got 33x12.5 o there now that I easily cleared stock and just put a 3" body lift on it and am now looking for 35's that are only 211 a tire. There great on the road as well.

I read about the size tire that would fit. I suppose I'm looking more at wheel suggestions. I would like a few different suggestions on this.

Tires, i'm fine with whatever the norm is. I'm sure there are 1 or 2 brands that most people go with that have the same setup as I'm looking for... That's the easy part to me.

Wheels are a little tougher. I don't mind nice takeoff's or aftermarket, just would like some pics to get an idea of what i'd be getting.

Thanks

I've been looking into moto metal now and I seem to like the 951 in chrome 18's does this sound like a good idea? What backspacing, lug size, etc... would I need to get them in? Also what size tire should I run to get the most size w/out having to trim anything with the leveling kit?

O it has been driven. I purchased it in Tennessee and had to drive it back to San Antonio.

I'm starting to read that I guess a tire size of 285/65/18 would go good with a set of 18x9" moto metal 951's with 4.5 backspacing. Is this correct?

Also, I'm thinking I want something a little more aggressive looking that the bfg at t/a's but am wondering if that's not a good idea since I never go off-road. Does the milage I can get out of the tire decrease significantly if I go to something like a nitto dune grappler?

Thanks

with a 3" you can get 35's, I would recommend all terrain unless you find yourself in the dirt all the time. If that's the case get some mud grapplers.
