Default New to Ford

Hey I am new to ford just bought an 05 F150 FX4. I love it got that big boy triton and the premium sound. I have one question. I want to upgrade the factory subwoofer. Is it a shallow 10" or what?? Any help would be great. Any tips about the truck would be great also. Thanks in Advance

Welcome! First thing I would do is get your plugs changed by the dealer if they are the originals. Regarding your sub, with a aftermarket box it can handle 6.25" (Depth) If you use the search you will find all the info you need. Cheers!

the sub is a goofy dual coil 6.5in with a very strange ohm load....like 8 ohm.

im going to get with a 10in Memphis SClass and am undecided on the amp as of yet.

That's odd,
My Audiophile system came with an 8" sub in my 04 Scab Lariat. It is kind of weak with the stock head unit, I have a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT installed now and the stock thumper sounds much better, but I will be replacing it soon with either dual 10's or this Saleen Rockford Fosgate 10" replacement 150 watt can be done instead. Search for it on ebay, another member said he offered the guy a couple of hundred and got it. click on the link to see it....
