New Exhuast
I recently went to look at my exhaust system. Seems that the original Magna Flow - dual cats - single - muffler - dual exhaust/tips design (prior to purchase) ran the CatBacks directly under the rear leafs. Fuq, as you can imagine. What happens: when the truck is lifted in the air, or when i run over a curb or somthing, the axle/leafs drop down AGRESSIVELY on the exhausted, and ultimately destroy the hangers. so im let with a tail pipe swingin in the wind like my grandpa pissin on the barn (or something).
I am going to get the rear half of the Cat backs re routed. $150 bucks. I just want him to cut the angles out and add new straigts, and replace the angles.... pic to decribe:

SORRY - much better drawing - including proposed layout. This new layout will cost roughly $200 TOTAL - rather cheap I think - its a guy I work out with.
I know that realistically I should start over from the muffler OR EVEN BETTER the CATS. but I would really like to keep this at the asking price.
I know NOTHING about trucks. I've done a few mods by myself: CAI, Programmer, Wheels/Tires, change oil, wipe the dash down, vaccum...you get the picture.
I really wanted to do this by myself. Hacksaw, coupllings, extensions, etc... Yes I know when I take it to a professional - I would possibly get laughed out. But then I dont get my fingers dirty....thoughts?
Then again - how much hard work is it to do that 'minor' work?... is it realistically gonna take me 2 weekends and 5 Tshirts of sweat?

rough estimate... by no means is this to scale. I guess im more concerned about Muffler back right now. And if I would just COMPLETLEY behoove me to replace everything.
I break a hanger every month. So im under there often -fuqers.
The guy helping me actually wants me to just dump EVERYTHING off after the cats. FL - doesnt have emissions laws.

i see split exhaust with H pipe on some trucks, the H pipe is before the rear drive axle so interference is no matter issue! If it is 4 wheel drive, look into something along those lines, plus with a 5.4 with split exhaust, you gain better sound, better gas mileage as well as less back pressure! Hope that helps a little

As long as it's after the cats, you're not messing with emissions. Emission laws are Federal, whether or not you get inspected is determined on the state/local level.
