Default Need speaker help

I have a crew cab fx4 with kenwood touch screen head unit, 2000w (set at a little under 1000w) kenwopd amp and an alpine type r 12 inch sub. Long story short i started with a set of 5x7 kenwood door speakers, blew those, spent $200 at best buy for a set of 5x7 alpines, and now two of those just stopped playing.. so im in the market for new speakers... again .. anyone know of a not insanely expensive set of 5x7s or 6x8s that will sound as good/close to as good as my alpines but not decide to stop working after 6 months?

Are your speakers amped? Something must be causing them to blow. Anyways do you want a set of coaxials or components?

Stock head unit? Are you sure the speakers are getting a signal? Bad connections maybe?

There are many good speakers available at Amazon and others. Amazon is always a good source to help make the proper selection with their rating process.
Not normal to be blowing speakers set after set unless you are running excessive power and sound.
If so, it will also be damaging your ears. When you finally begin to notice the symptoms of hearing loss and or tinnitus, it will be too late! No repair or replacement possible for the ears.

most decks are only gonna put out around 40-60 watts per channel. you could be damaging the speakers by not feeding them enough watts. if the speakers are 100 watt rms each, it would be wise to run them off an amp. too little watts can cause just as much damage as pushing too many watts. also if you are utilizing the factory wires to run them, that could be another problem. that stuff is tiny! just my 2 cents.

Was thinking about adding 2 more tweeters to my system maybe 1 in each side of the overhead console as well as the ones in the A-pillars. Was also thinking maybe I could improve the sound stage for both sides by wiring the ones in the overhead console to the opossite side. (For example the passenger overhead console tweeter would be wired into the left side and vise versa)

I would just do a swap to components. Sounds much better in my opinion.
