My son just bought a beautiful 2008 FX4 s/cab. It's loaded, leather, heated power seats, moonroof, every possible option I think. There's one thing that baffles us, it has chrome front and rear bumpers! Was that part of a special pkg. We don't have a window sticker.

i see chrome bumpers.. not sure what you mean by inserts.. my 08 FX4 came with PTM bumpers..

 

I agree 100%. Looks just like a standard chrome bumper.

Shot in the dark, but maybe they ordered the "FX4 package" but also a "chrome package" that included steps and bumpers?

 

I heard there is a way to look up the window sticker? I was just curious because the only time I've seen a white grill is with the two tone or the monochrome paint job with white bumpers. I plan on plasti dipping the bumpers and rockers black regardless.

 

looks to me like the previous owner did some other things to make it his own. Could be that he put on that paint matching grill, or he got rid of the paint match bumpers and put the chrome on.

PS. i think the window sticker thing exists somewhere, but I have never been able to get one to work for my 2004

I'm wondering if the Chrome step bar option also added chrome bumpers.

 

Maybe the previous owner didnt like the color matched bumpers and switched to chrome?
