Need new Front struts
Had new tires put on today and they said the right front spring was broke. I looked at it and its hard to tell till I looked at the other side.
I would like to get the Rancho but throwing out $500+ then waiting 8-10 weeks for my $120 rebate. Is a little hard on the wallet now.
I was looking at the Monroes but the price difference after the rebate is about $50
So the question I am asking is the Ranchos worth the hurt in the wallet for 8-10 weeks
Monroe quick strut 171361 and shocks 911262
or
Rancho quick strut RS999910 and shocks RS999286

I have the Gabriel Quick struts with the 2.5in HBS leveling kit. Ride is good and Im running 285.70.18s BFG AT KOs. You can find them online and buy as a pair and might get the BOGOF. Cost me 199.00 for both. The 2.5 kit was 75 on ebay.
Unless you're planning on lifting the front eventually, I would pass on these.
The Monroe 181361 is considered an econo model...Spend a few extra bucks and get the next step up or get the Rancho. I posted the same question a few weeks ago and ended up going with Raybestos professional grade from Rock Auto and a set of pucks off eBay and my truck rides 100 times better now. Our front springs are notorious for breaking. I had the same problem, but both of mine were broken.
I just broke a front spring 1 1/2 weeks ago. I did the Ranch Quick Lift setup and am very happy with it. It rides better than stock, and I thought it rode pretty good with the stock setup. As far as the shocks, I ordered RS999285 not RS999286, I don't know what the difference is, but under the details for the 286's it says "For models with Rancho Triple X systems" and "2 1/2" lift"... The 285's fit my truck perfectly as a stock replacement.

I pulled the trigger today. Ordered the Ranchos.
$505.80 was my total and after the rebate my total cost will be 385.80.
Had to make 3 separate orders but worth it, I hope
The cheapest I could find the Monroe was $343 so the $40 difference in the end is chump change.
Rock Auto lets you use paypal so I could use the bill me later thing, or buy them from Amazon and get 6months interest free

I went with the Monroe quickstruts 171361(front) and Monroe 911262 (rear). bought them on amazon 336.86 total plus a 90.00 rebate 246.86 total. already had the as level pucks so I didn't really need the quicklifts. but I believe Monroe owns rancho or vice versa
