Still haven't been able to resolve my problem. I've changed my thermometer before I left to Mexico; after I came back I replaced 2 coils, got new plugs this week and just now it came on again... Engine power reduced! I would like some suggestions on what to do before I have to take it to ford!
Thanks in advance, Louis

Try cleaning the MAF and Throttle Body? And maybe replacing the air filter too if you don't have a CAI.

Check your antifreeze to make sure it's full.. Something is causing it to overheat so I would make sure the fan is running properly possible fan clutch.. Definitely something needs to be fixed ASAP dont keep running it hot

It doesn't run hot it just goes into reduced engine power random. I pull over to check it and runs fine, then I turn it off and turn it back on and goes back to normal. I'm going to try and clean out the maf and throttle and if that doesn't work ill be taking it to ford.

The Computer thinks its hot that's why it goes in reduced power mode it is a fail safe to get you home. Are you certain the engine is not hot? You could have a faulty temperature sending unit or wiring issue going to the sender.

Yes I'm sure, I took it to a mechanic while it had reduced engine power and said its not hot at all. He couldn't tell what was wrong because no check engine light was on. Today I just got the engine light so ill be taking it to my mecanic and see if he can figure it out
