i got a boy i work with who drives an old chevy k-5 blazer with a stock 350 and a 3.73 rear that wants to hook up to me. i have a 2005 f150 5.4 with a 3.55LS rear and 33" all terrains. he also has BFG A/T's but theyre not as big. the k5 looks like a piece of ***** but so do most older trucks. should i try hooking up to him?

do you really think i can. i think itll be close. are you just saying that cuz you hate chevys? i cant stand em either but ALL older trucks are built a lot tougher.
not all old trucks are that great, the payload on these new ones are great, and im gion to say that the old 350 is prob worn out and seen better days, ans we can squeeze alot more power out of trucks these days with less cubic inches like how a 4.6 has more horsepower from the factory than what the 5.8 (351) in the early nineties was rated at!!!
I'd advise against it. Not because you won't win, but because you're truck is worth much more than a beaten up old Chevy.
But if you do, my vote is for the F150. Biggest factor in this is simply traction and the driver. But after that you have the weight advantage, and unless he's rebuilt the motor/tranny you should also have a significant power advantage.
Question for you, who's truck sits higher? This can play into the battle, has the higher truck will try to lift the other truck up, while the lower truck pulls the higher truck down (providing a little better traction for the higher truck).
But again, is it really worth you possibly hurting your truck just to prove this kid wrong? Put a load in the bed, tow a load and show him how it's done without the potential of breaking anything. Take the trucks out and see which more women prefer. A lot of ways to compare without putting your truck in danger.

My vote definitely goes toward the F150. Sounds kinda tough on your rig though. Get a little extra weight and traction over those rear tires by making sure your gas tank is filled.
Make sure whatever you use to hook each other together cant snap and really fubar your truck.

I would do this but then he'll turn around and do the same thing and since his is an old worn out piece of *****, i might end up paying more that way.
