Not anything close to making it worth the cost.

Before my programmer.... 10 city 14-16 highway
After............................13 city 17-20 highway(depending on wind)

Which isn't really enough to justify the cost...... put the performance is....

However...... a Gryphon from powerhungryperformance.com is what you want.....

A edge is written to work for every f-150 and every driver..... It does not let every vehicle reach it's potential.... Its just a lil upgrade from factory.....

If you are gonna spend the money...... get a gryphon it has all the cool gauge features that the edge has, but better tunes..

I working a gryphon right now.

Powerhungryperformance.com

They will convert your edge to a gryphon. And the tunes are based around your upgrades. Theyre not canned like edge is.

I can get an edge off of a friend of mine for $150 but I was wondering if I could get any more mpg and if so how much. And then I figured later when I do some mods and I get some extra cash I could always up grade it to a gryphon. Will I see any mpg increase or not from the edge

You'll see a small gain, about 1-2 (at least that's what I got). For $150, I could easily justify buying it, in fact, that's how much I paid for mine. Send it off the PHP and get it upgraded to the Gryphon with custom tunes. Depending on how many tunes you get, it'll be around $100-$200 from them. In $300-$350 for some killer performance and a little better gas mileage is way worth it

The 1-2 mpg increase you saw was that from the edge before you had it upgraded to the custom tunes? And did you actually calculate the mpg and seen an increase or are you just guessing that's what you got? Let me know thanks for the info.

And one more thing what level 1 2 or 3 did you have the edge set on to see the 1-2 mpg increase.

That was from the edge. I have got my Gryphon yet. I actually did calculate it though and thats what I came up with, depending on how I drove. Most of the time I had it on level 1. I have a CAI so i tried to stay away from engine programming until I got the custom tunes.
