Default MPG kills

So i have a 2005 f150 fx4 triton lifted 6 on 35's and 20's with a edge programmer and a K&N intake exhaust and dana axles. My mpg is always between 11-12 city. Its killing my bank im only 17. I already had a tonnue bed cover and it doesnt help almost at all. What is is there i can do to help my MPG? I cant find much info on gear upgrades or if it would even be worth it to do? Any comments please and thank you

I'm honestly really not trying to be a d!ckhead or mean to you here, but if you wanted good gas mileage you shouldn't have bought a full size truck and then lifted it that high with big heavy tires on it. If you're 17 and have afforded all of this stuff already including the truck, how can't you afford the gas now ??? I dunno maybe i'm missing something here.

Select the search function. Type in "gas mileage".

Now read the hundreds of posts on low gas mileage for the 5.4's.

You will see you're not alone.

Seriously, 35's and a 6 inch lift, and your complaining of poor mileage? Remove the tires, put some stock tires back on and you'll increase your mileage by at least 1 to 2 MPG.

You have to make some sacrifices. You can't have your cake and eat it too. No f150 gets great mileage. You will have to live with it or give up something. An expensive lesson to learn.

Save the grand you'll spend on gears and getting it done and buy a cheap efficient car as your commuter and just bring the big boy out when you are hunting for the ladies or goin out to play.

I agree. It would cost about the same. Plus what you save on gas with the little commuter car could pay for some nice mods for your truck.
