Default Moisture at plug #6

I havent had time to dig in myself yet. Search turns up a mixture of results none specific to my problem. Anyways I've got 2 misfires on #6 here recently, both times there was a small amount of moisture on the bottom of the coil boot. Seems to happen after rain or snow which makes sense. What I'm wondering is if anybody else has seen this particular problem and what they did to see no moisture getting down into plug #6 or maybe any others in that area? I dont have the little rubber things on the side of my wiper cowl and I will be purchasing some soon to see if that where the moisture is coming in from but looking for other ideas too.

I wonder if a little dielectric here would help (on the bottom side, obviously)

Maybe as a temp solution I might have to try that. The moisture could just be road spray from driving too, just strange that it's been on #6 twice now within the last couple months.

I understand some drive-by moisture. Weird that it only seems to be on one cylinder.

Yeah thats why I have the slightest hope that someone has had this before and has a simple solution. Until I get another one on #6 (hopefully never) I'm going to hope it was just a double fluke but time will tell.

Maybe a cylinder head gasket on the way out? Maybe it's degrading by plug 6 and allowing moisture in..? idk
Didn't you have a timing job done? Maybe they damaged the gasket upon install

Yeah I had my timing done about a year ago. I sure hope it's not the head gasket!

Just trying to think of anything that would cause moisture intrusion on one cylinder

no labor warranty on this. He's a family friend so if there was an issue with something they did they would work with me on the whole situation. I also wouldn't want to make him work for free. It's a mutual family type situation.
