Default Misc Wires

Anyone have any idea what these wires just hanging from my 06 F150 XLT are for? They are on the fire wall right above the E brake...

Nobody knows what these are? They are located right above the E brake on my 06 F-150 XLT just dangling there. Almost looks like something for the radio that isn't / wasn't used on my model...

I've got the same truck. I'll poke my head under there when I go to work this morning and see if I have the same thing.

Don't know either. I've got a spare plug laying inside my dash that looks just like that. I thought maybe it was for a brake controller until I found a separate plug (female) for that this weekend when I actually did a brake controller install in my truck.

Default Black Plug

The black plug almost looks like a old CD-Rom Audio cable like in a computer from the 90s lol only way I can describe it.

I forgot to post back on this. I did actually take a look under there and did not see this connector. There is a harness up there and perhaps this connector was on the end of it, but I definitely didn't have a loose connector that I could see. Sorry.

They may be optional plugs ...like for power pedals or stuff like that... the plug for the brake controller is located next to the OBII port.

I wonder if you guys have different radio head units or other options. Yours might be plugged in somewhere.
