Default mirrors

are the 2009+ side view mirrors compatible with an '08? i really like the super duty style tow mirrors you can get on those and was wondering if they would still fit my truck.

Yes they will bolt on just fine. Make sure your truck has the right features to operate them, though.

Yes, my mirrors are off of a '13 or '14(can't remember which year now) and they work fine.

No, super duty mirrors will not work on a F150, the after market super duty style mirrors are made for the 150. I tried the super duty mirrors on my 150 due to the seller said they would fit...

OP there is your answer. Yes the OEM standard mirrors will fit. Superduty OEM mirrors will not fit. If you want that style you will have to go aftermarket.

There is a fairly simple mod to make them into turn signals. Basically you just pop the reflector out. Cut some paper backing off. Place in your own strip of LEDs. Wire them into the turn signal on the other side of the mirror. Put it all back together. http://www.fordf150.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=112594 This guy went the extra mile and tinted his. Also if you have puddle lights instead of a blank you will remove the light the same way and make sure you wire to the turn signal not the puddle light.
