Will 2010 mirrors swap with my 06,they are power,heated,turn signals.


If so is there any electrical mod involved or will they just plug in and work?

 

Had a tree branch ( biggish) fall on my driver side mirror a few weeks after I bought it. Went to the junk yard to get replacements and they were 400 bucks cheaper than the dealer so i got the one. Had to wait a few days to get it and when it came in it was from a 2011 truck. but the main thing is plug and play for a 2008 FX4. I went back to junk yard and bought the passenger side one too. You should not have any problems doing this. I have heard some have though but there are plenty of people on this and other forums that would be happy to help for that problem

i ordered mine from 1aauto for $220... they say they are completely plug and play, where the factory ones will require you to change one terminal on the mirror plug. also to get the heat to work, you either need to have a factory rear defroster or buy a new ac control unit and a new fuse block. (which is another $250)

 

Can't speak to your question specifically about 11 to 06 but if that does not work out I could sell you my mirrors from my 04.

I put on tow mirros and mine are in great shape and have power, heat and signal.

Though I would just toss that out there. I have not posted them yet, too many other things bumping them down the priority list

 

Did this swap end up working looking to do the same thing with my 08 fx4 with 2011 fx4 mirrors

 

2004-2006 same pins (plug n play)
2007-2014 same pins (plug n play)
You can get the two above to work by moving some pins around.

 

thanks nathan but which pins are you referring to exactly i know all the options are the same on both sets of mirrors i just gavent bought the other set yet i just wanted to make sure it was gonna work

 

This is what I put together.

 

I swapped a set of 2010 Tow mirrors onto my 05 Lariat and I just had to move a couple pins around to make everything work.

 

Which pins? trying to get a set of mirrors with signals to work on 08 xlt and only the drivers side seems to work.
